Today, the 25th May 2013, and although Sustainche™ & Lisa for the time being stay in cold spring-time Germany, we enjoy celebrating the second birthday of the Sustainche Farm™ Project !
Hurray !!!
Only two years ago, we together with the Sustainche Farm™ family and today with a project community around Planet Earth could not imagine reaching this point of project development. This not only refers to the volume of information on sustainable development topics we provided with this web site, but it in particular points to the outstanding success being able to sell our traditionally hand produced Marula oil to one of the most famous restaurants in Namibia: The Gathemann Restaurant in our country’s capital, Windhoek. One step towards ‘diversification of income’ – one of the many sustainable development challenges – has been achieved !
In this respect, our warm thanks go to Mr. Urs Gamma, the owner and chef de cuisine of ‘The Gathemann’, who during the past two years became the most enthusiastic supporter of the Sustainche Farm™ Project in Northern Namibia.
During the past three years that Sustainche & Lisa enjoyed living in Northern Namibia they also witnessed dramatic differences in the rainy season. This brings us to the following question and corresponding poll … which we know our community members take pleasure in very much 😉 :
Which rainy season showed the LOWEST rainfall at Sustainche Farm™ during the past three years ?
Well, for those among the Sustainche Farm™ Project community members who don’t live in Northern Namibia, some information provided by the Namibia Meteorological Service (please click and thus open the link) might be helpful to answer our 2nd Birthday question 🙂
Thanks for supporting the Sustainche Farm™ Project !
Enjoy your day, wherever you live on Planet Earth 🙂
Warm regards,
Sustainche & Lisa
